Easter Weekend 2009

Easter weekend was a busy one for the Newtons!  On Saturday afternoon we attended the 1st birthday of Emily Clements, daughter of our good friends Caleb and Heather.  Watching a 1 year old discover cake for the first time never seems to get old!

Yummy cake!

The birthday princess.  Pretty in pink!

Friends from church.  Emily's dad, Caleb, is the one in the front.

Friends from Life Group, Carisa, Steve, and Cade Lalim

On Saturday evening we attended the wedding of Ricky's cousin Tyler Shuck.  It was a beautiful wedding that was held on a boat that sailed around the Newport Harbor.  Ricky and I had a wonderful evening catching up with family visiting from Oregon who we don't get to see very often.

Aunt Vicki, Ricky, and Grampa Jim

Aunt Mary (mother of the groom) and Ricky

Tyler and Ricky.  All evening everyone kept commenting on how much they looked alike.  You be the judge...

On Sunday we attended Easter services at our church, Rockharbor.  After, we went over to Jon, Rachel, and Greta's for Easter dinner.  Rachel made a wonderful meal and we ended the afternoon with an egg hunt for Greta and yummy carrot cake!   We are looking forward to spending next Easter with Baby Newty!

By Popular Demand...

I have been getting quite a few requests for pictures of me pregnant so for
those of you who have been asking, here you go!

About 4 months pregnant.

Pregnant sisters!  Mallory and I at Christmas.  She was about 6 months along and I was about 4 months.  That is little Audrey Elizabeth in there who made her debut on March 31.  Ricky and I are so excited to be Uncle and Auntie!

27 weeks pregnant

30 weeks pregnant

Being pregnant has, so far, been a great experience for me.  It has been especially fun since I have been able to feel the baby move and kick (although there are times when I wish Newty would be a little more gentle).  It is both reassuring and amazing to feel the little one moving around in there.  He or she is especially active at night and I can actually see my stomach move which is crazy!  Ricky and I can't wait to meet our little Newty!
