Last Days in the OC

This post is chronicling our last days in Southern California.  They were bittersweet as they were spent saying goodbye to good friends and also to a place we have called home for the past 10 years. Ricky and I met, were married, started our life together and had our first baby there.  We are excited for this new chapter in our lives but we will always treasure the memories and friends made while living in Orange County!

Rachel and Greta came over to help me pack one morning.  It was so sweet of them to help out as it is not easy to get anything done when you are taking care of a 4 month old who decided not to nap that whole week!  Thank you Rachel and Greta!

Her response when I told her to smile.

Greta wanted to hold William.  Here she is giving him some love.

Giving William a kiss.  Greta will be a great big sister someday!

We had a get together at Muldoons, an Irish pub in Newport Beach, to say goodbye to friends.  It was a great time and are thankful for such wonderful friendships.  We miss you all!

My post college roomie, Jenny.  Love that girl!

My Mom and Ricky's Mom came down to help us pack up and move.  Thank you both for your help!  We could not have done it without you!   That weekend, my sister Ruth and her husband Nate were in Disneyland so they came over one night for dinner.  We had fun visiting Auntie Ruth and Uncle Nate Dawg!

Tired after a day of packing.

Moving day!  In addition to both Moms, we had some wonderful friends who came and helped us move.  Their help was invaluable and we are so very appreciative!  Here are some pics of the little ones who came to help.

On our way up to Oregon, we spent the night in Lodi to split up the trip.  William and I were able to visit with Grandma Mitzi and Papa while there.  William loved visiting with his Great-Grandparents!
